Public Events

UKYCC hosts events around the UK aimed towards young people interested in specific projects or campaigns of ours, workshops and mindfulness sessions, or looking to make connections in the climate movement. We tailor our events usually to audiences aged 18-29 however all are welcome to join us! UKYCC members also attend other organisations’ events, including to speak on panels and host workshops.

In 2023, we celebrated our 15th anniversary by returning to our roots with a special two-day ‘PowerShift’ conference in Hackney, London — bringing back the name of our very first major public event. It was a memorable weekend, and an opportunity to spotlight UKYCC’s milestones and expansion over the years. We also had the joy of welcoming like-minded delegates and platforming wider activists and emerging movements in the climate space.

Funding our events

As a non-profit, UKYCC is powered by grants and donations. Our public events are typically free to attend and we welcome donations too. Every person’s contribution helps us to continue laying the groundwork for more events like these, and wider resources that support our team to become confident, capable climate leaders.
